Meckias Banda
A Zambian priest based in Chipata Diocese has urged servants of God to embrace divine calling without segregation.
Speaking during a Silver Jubilee Thanksgiving Mass in Petauke District of Chipata Diocese, Fr. Osric Banda, Parish Priest of St. Oscar’s Parish, emphasized that God’s calling knows no boundaries of status or position.
The celebratory mass honoured Sister Veronica Nyoni of the Theresian Sisters of the Child Jesus, who marked 25 years of dedicated service.
Fr. Banda encouraged Sister Veronica to cherish her calling, remain humble, and never forget her roots.
Fr. Banda also urged Sister Veronica to introspect on her journey, deepen her prayer life, and become an inspiration to young Sisters and those aspiring to join the sisterhood.
Additionally, he called upon her to pray for the less privileged.
The event brought together congregation members, family, and friends to rejoice in Sister Veronica’s remarkable milestone, reflecting on her dedication and selfless service to the community.
