The Archbishop of Lusaka, Most Rev. Dr. Alick Banda, has thanked the Catholic Men Organization (CMO) in the Lusaka Archdiocese of Zambia for their tremendous commitment and generosity in supporting the success of the Pastoral Ministry in the Archdiocese.

Archbishop Banda urged the men to remain resilient in fostering the growth of the Pastoral Ministry during the 2024 Pastoral Fund presentation held at St. Mathias Mulumba Parish in Bauleni.

The occasion was marked by the presentation of the 2024 Pastoral Fund, a remarkable 3,108,964 Kwacha, equivalent to slightly over 115,000 US dollars, a testament to the unwavering commitment and generosity of the CMO.

His Grace, Dr. Banda, described this substantial fund as a symbol of “faith in action,” facilitating the fruitful Pastoral Ministry within the Archdiocese.

“Your generosity is pivotal in carrying out our mandate,” he said. “Your contribution to this Pastoral Fund enables evangelization, supports the acquisition of motorized transport for our pastoral agents, and provides clean and safe drinking water for our people.”

He continued, “The fruit of your work is evident in the lives of our people—those who have converted, those who have transformed their lives for the better, and indeed, in the communities strengthened in their faith by your works.”

St. Ignatius Parish in Rhodespark emerged as the overall top contributor, followed by the Cathedral of the Child Jesus in second place, with St. Mary’s Parish in Chilanga taking third place.
