ZAMBIA: Austrian-Based Foundation Commences Construction of a Chapel At a Newly Opened Catholic College
By Sandra Kunda
The Austria-based Blessed Engelbert Foundation has commenced the construction of a chapel at Adrian Mung’andu International Boys College in Lusaka Archdiocese, Zambia.
The groundwork for this new spiritual haven is not just about erecting a building but about creating a lasting legacy.
This endeavor honors Engelbert Kolland, OFM Cap, and his companions, who were canonized on October 20, 2024, for their unwavering faith in the face of persecution in Syria.
On October 21, 2024, the site was blessed by the Archbishop of Lusaka, Most Rev. Dr. Alick Banda, after a heartfelt Mass dedicated to St. Engelbert Kolland, OFM Cap.
His blessing symbolized the fusion of faith, sacrifice, and community, laying a spiritual cornerstone for the chapel, which will soon stand as a testament to resilience and devotion.
