MALAWI: CCCJP Donates PA System Equipment to Radio Tigabane in Mzuzu Malawi

The Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace (CCJP) Mzuzu Diocese in Malawi has donated Public Address (P.A) system equipment valued to Radio Tigabane.
The Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese Rt. Rev. Yohane Suzgo Nyirenda urged Christians to support the radio through cash or material donations.
The donated items include; a Beringer Mixer (8 channels), a Wireless Microphone, a Power Generator, Ahuja Amplifier, a Cable roll, Speakers and Microphone stands.
Speaking on Sunday during the handover Ceremony at Holy Cross Parish in Nkhamenya, Kasungu district, CCJP Mzuzu Diocese Coordinator, Mr. Felix Manda, emphasized the need to support Radio Tigabane’s mission.
“We are implementing several projects across the diocese and we use the radio to disseminate information about these projects and other information from pastoral office to across the diocese so this donation will enhance their broadcasting capabilities,” he said.
Expressing appreciation for the donation received, Ms. Temwa Mhango the Director for Radio Tigabane said, “We are on the move striving to become one of Malawi’s best radio stations, to achieve this we need equipment support like these. Not just any equipment but advanced and modern radio broadcasting equipment. Today, we’re thankful to CCJP for this donation, which will enhance our quality programming,”
She appealed for further support, citing the urgent need for other items including Transmitters of 1000KWz, Recorders, Computers, digital cameras and smart Phones for Digital Broadcasting.
Radio Tigabane also broadcasts through Online and on its Facebook page, connecting people abroad with their home Diocese.
Located in northern Malawi, Radio Tigabane is a community-based radio station under the Catholic Diocese of Mzuzu, established in 2005. It operates from Mzuzu city, covering all parishes in the diocese.
