The Franciscan Missionary Sisters in the Kasama Archdiocese of Zambia have commemorated the Memorial of Saint Francis of Assisi at Chileshe Chepela wa Nsongo Special School

During the commemoration, two Catholic Sisters from the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Assisi praised the pupils of Chileshe Chepela wa Nsongo Special School for their good behavior and encouraged them to emulate the spirit of Saint Francis of Assisi.

The Head Teacher of Chileshe Chepela wa Nsongo Special School, Sr. Godfridah Zimba, commended the pupils for their spirit of kindness, love, teamwork, and care for one another and the school. She emphasized that their positive attitude deserves recognition.

And Sr. Elise Mwamba also appealed to the pupils to be their brothers’ keepers, urging them to continue studying hard and to focus on brightening their future.

The two Franciscan Sisters made these remarks following the Holy Mass celebrated to mark the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi.

Kasama West Deanery Youth Chaplain, Fr. Barnabas Mwape, who also serves as the Curate of St. Paul the Apostle Bwembya Parish in Kasama Archdiocese, presided over the Holy Mass for the Memorial of Saint Francis of Assisi, which is annually celebrated on the 4th of October.
