The Catholic Men’s Organization (CMO) has successfully raised over USD 91,000 to support pastoral activities within the Archdiocese of Ndola, during the Pastoral Fund Presentation and Award Ceremony held on September 28, 2024, at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe.

The day began with a Mass celebrated by Most Rev. Benjamin Phiri the Archbishop of Ndola, where he encouraged attendees to remain committed to supporting the Church’s mission. Following the Mass, the CMO presented a cheque of USD 91,338.45 to the Archbishop, a reflection of the generosity and dedication of the Catholic faithful in the region.

The fundraising effort was met with a celebration of the parishes and deaneries that made significant contributions.

The award ceremony that followed recognized parishes for their outstanding efforts, and the atmosphere was one of unity and shared purpose.

Speaking at the event, Archbishop Phiri expressed gratitude and emphasized the importance of such contributions in helping the Archdiocese to fulfill its pastoral mandate.

“This remarkable generosity will enable us to continue supporting various Church activities and spreading the gospel,” he said.

The event, attended by hundreds of Catholics from across the Archdiocese, left participants inspired to continue supporting the Church and its mission. The funds raised will go towards vital pastoral work, including community outreach, spiritual education, and Church upkeep.

The success of this year’s Pastoral Fund Presentation underscores the strength and unity of the Catholic community in the Archdiocese of Ndola.
