Caritas Chipata Director, Fr. Bernard Zulu, has emphasized the importance of citizens speaking out against injustices in the country.

Fr. Zulu stressed that every citizen must engage with those in authority when things are not going well, also calling on politicians to accept criticism and constructive feedback.

“No one is perfect in everything,” he noted, highlighting the need for humility and openness to improvement.

The Caritas Director also urged leaders to prioritize laws that promote the well-being and dignity of citizens, rather than those that infringe on human rights.

He encouraged Christians to focus on God’s teachings and support laws that promote the common good.

His statements come at a time when Zambia is grappling with various social and political issues, and his words are seen as a call to action for citizens to engage with their leaders and promote positive change.

Fr. Zulu was speaking during his sermon at St. Atanazio Outstation in Mchini.
