ZAMBIA: Catholic Women Organization in Zambia Donates to Seminarian Fund

The Catholic Women Organization (CWO) in the Archdiocese of Kasama, Zambia, has this year donated K2, 461,279.00 (about $94,430) to the Seminarian Fund of the local Catholic Church for the education of seminarians.
The Catholic women, spearheaded by Chairperson Ms. Mary Kapoko together with executive members and the Pastoral Coordinator Fr. Nicholas Chipoya, handed over the money to Archbishop Ignatius Chama on Sunday, August 25, at Saint Aloysius Gonzaga Lubushi Minor Seminary when celebrating a closing Mass at the end of a four-day annual prayer meeting for Catholic women from the Archdiocese of Kasama.
Speaking after receiving the funds, Archbishop Chama expressed gratitude to the Catholic Women Organization for their generosity.
More than 7,000 Catholic women from 34 Parishes and Sub-Parishes of the Archdiocese attended this year’s Archdiocesan annual prayer meeting at Lubushi Minor Seminary.
