UGANDA: Besides Adoration, be Hard Working Bishop Tells Christians
Masereka Peter
The Ordinary of the Diocese of Kasese Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira Kambale has called for hard work among Christians besides adoring the Blessed Sacrament each week to cement their relationship with God and improve their living conditions.
Bishop Kibira pointed out that his role among others is to lead all souls to salvation as well as promote socio-economic activities, urging Christians to be committed to the fight against poverty and famine as well as to prayer life.
Addressing Christians shortly after presiding over the Eucharistic celebration where about one hundred Christians were confirmed, three catechists raised to the order of Eucharistic Ministers. Opening and blessing the Eucharistic Centre at St. Peters Kijura sub-parish in Ibanda Catholic Parish, Bishop Kibira asked Christians to adore the Blessed Sacrament and to promote hard work, which he says will not only develop them but enable them to provide to Church needs.
Bishop Kibira also laid the foundation stone for Kijura Primary School and was assisted in Holy Mass by Diocesan treasurer Rev Fr. Joseph Syathetha, Parish priest for Ibanda, Rev Fr. Peter Isingoma Katuramu curate, Fr. Loti Maate and Fr. Moris Thembo.
