ZAMBIA: Anchor Your Life on The Word of God says Cleric
By Sandra Kunda
Ndola Archdiocese Catechetical Manager Rev. Fr. Thomas Chunika encouraged Christians to live the actual life of their master, Jesus Christ.
Fr. Chunika said this when he led the celebration of the month-end Mass for the Curia Staff in the Cathedral of Christ the King.
In his homily, Fr. Chunika said just as St. Peter could say, “Everything works for good for those who believe,” meaning that the disciples of Jesus Christ can find solace, consolation, or strength in the Word of God in times of difficulties.
Fr. Chunika stressed that, unlike other people who are not anchored on the Word of God and who, when disaster befalls them, do all sorts of things, believers would find meaning in the Word of God.
He said Christians should endeavor to interpret whatever comes with the eyes of faith so that they know where they belong.
“When we are mentored by Jesus Christ, we are going to be his disciples; we imitate him and live His life in all situations,” he said.
The Vicar General, Very Rev. Fr. Lewis Mutachila, and other priests serving in the Archdiocese of Ndola curia were part of the Mass.
