ZAMBIA: Ndola Deanery Celebrates World Catholic Women’s Day

Ndola Deanery in Zambia has celebrated the 2024 World Union of Women Organization Day at Divine Mercy Parish in Hillcrest, Ndola.
On this day, Catholic Women meet for a day of prayer whereby the Dean of Ndola Fr. Thomas Chunika led the celebration of Mass, concelebrated by Fathers. Nkole Katongo, Temani Chikhosi, and Francis Ngosa.
Women from Ndola Deanery parishes were part of the celebration.
“We reflected on the Gospel according to Luke chapter 1:26-35, the visitation of Mary to her cousin Elizabeth. The message was about collaborative ministry,” Fr. Chunika highlighted.
“On the other hand, it was about the care for nature. We need to take care of nature and protect Mother Earth so that we can maintain the order of created things and avoid drastic climate consequences so that in turn, Mother Nature may care for us,” he said.
