Catholic Diocese of Ndola Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri has urged Christians to avoid leading a double life but embrace purity and holiness to avoid the pitfalls of life.
In his homily during the recent pastoral visit to St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish in Kawama, Bishop Phiri underscored the significance of the Lenten season as a time for genuine repentance and the renewal of commitment to God, resonating deeply with the congregation.
During Mass, Bishop Phiri took a hands-on approach to reinforce the teachings, conferring the Sacrament of Confirmation upon 11 candidates and additionally, played a pivotal role in commissioning 25 communion helpers, 5 sacristans, and 3 prayer leaders.
The Right Reverend Phiri consistently emphasized the importance of authenticity in Christian living, urging parishioners to align their actions with their beliefs.
