UGANDA: Christians of Uganda Asked to Nurture Children According to the Teachings of the Church

The Bishop Diocese of Kasese, Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira Kambale has asked the office of the Pontifical Mission Society (PMS) in the Diocese to encourage children to join church movements as the best way of shaping them at a tender age as the church and culture recommend.
Bishop Kibira singled out two church movements that the PMS office can use in teaching the children the norms and values of church and social living that is, the Missionary Childhood and Junior of Mary.
In his Homily while presiding over the Eucharistic celebration for the new year and the solemnity of Mary, Mother of God at Nsenyi Catholic Parish, Bishop Kibira asked parents and guardians to guide and groom God-fearing children at a family level.

On his part, His Majesty Charles Wesley Iremangoma for Omusinga of Rwenzururu kingdom condemned ADF killings in the Rwenzori region and called for a year of peace as he asked those who may have been misled by certain rebel groups to surrender to the government for amnesty.
Her Highness Agnes Ithungu called for collaborated efforts towards good parenting and nurturing the young generation in the right way, emulating Mary Mother of God.
The Nsenyi Head of Laity, Mrs Annah Muhindo said children have been spoiled beyond repair the problem she said needs a quick solution from all stakeholders to retrieve the trend, while Ms. Mary Kighotha, the former Woman Member of Parliament Aspirant said as parents and guardians looking forwards to secure a bright future for the children they should put more focus on their discipline as long as academics.
In conclusion, Mr. Edwin Kungonza, the Deputy Prime Ministry said the government of Uganda has promised to work on roads around the Rwenzori Mountains especially the iconic site for the kingdom.
