UGANDA: Bishop Kibira called for collaborated effort towards revamping the family institute

The Bishop of the Diocese of Kasese, Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira Kambale has called for collaborated efforts that would see the survival and protection of the institution of the family that is at the risk of being left almost meaningless by the increasing cases of Domestic Violence.
He said the joint efforts are required among the faith based and cultural institutions, counselors, family and clan leaders to protect the institution of family without which, life is at stake.
In his homily while presiding over Holy Mass at Mukole Roman Catholic Church in Kitabu Parish in the Diocese of Kasese on 13th August 2023 where he confirmed 200 Christians into the Catholic Church and opened a Eucharistic Centre, Bishop Kibira asked women to be submissive, respectful and desist from turning into sort of beats against their husbands.
He did not spare the men who he asked to be focused, respectful of their wives and hardworking if they were to be responsible, relevant husbands and fathers.
Earlier while presiding over thanksgiving Mass of the 90 year old mother to Fr. Francis Kojo in Nyakiyumbu three village in Bwera subcounty, Bishop who called for prayers to have Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital into a referral said he was touched by the sickness of a child there thus, asking parents to mobilize for him
Rev. Fr. David Kitsa, the St. Peter and Paul Parish- Kitabu parish priest argued Mukole community to distance themselves from unnecessary games and noise near the Church that was yesterday blessed to host Jesus Christ in the Tabernacle.
Mr. Augustine Kisolhu Kule, the parish head of laity had highlighted a number of challenges; ranging from poor Church buildings, means of transport for priests, water scarcity and poor services in some of the schools among others.
Meanwhile on 12th August 2023 during the thanksgiving Mass of Ms. Domitilha Kasika 90, the Mother to Rev. Fr. Francis Kojo the Rector St. John the Evangelist Minor Seminary-Kiburara at his home in Nyakiyumbu III Village, Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira Kambale described mothers as first teachers and source of blessing of every human creaturethat needs more care at the their old age.
The ordinary of Kasese who asked mothers to be focused while raising children since they the first teachers and source of blessing encouraged children to respect their Parents at their old age as a way of paying back for their blessing.
Kibira encouraged People to organize thanksgiving of their parents while still alive, wondered why women mistreat mothers in law even after investing a lot towards positive growth of their husbands.
Hon. Godfrey Atkins Katusabe, the legislator for Bukonzo County west commended Government for extending an electrical wire along the Queen Elizabeth National park to address animal problem. END
