Bishop Sanctus Lino Wanok Praying over the Religious Sisters during the Rite of the Perpetual profession of MSMMC Ngetta in Lira

The Bishop of Lira Diocese Rt. Rev Sanctus Lino Wanok has disclosed that living religious life is what should inspire and influence society to live uprightly following the teaching of Jesus Christ.
He made the remarks on the occasion of the Perpetual Profession of Sisters under the institute of the Missionary Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church (MSMMC) Ngetta on 1st January 2023.
According to Bishop Wanok, people or society can get influenced only when the identity of the Religious men and women is vivid among them by their exemplarity in following Jesus according to the legacy set by the founder of their Congregation.
He observed that maintaining the identity as Religious makes them authentic witnesses of Jesus Christ to one another and to the rest of the world.
He went on to say that celebrating the Perpetual Profession of the Sisters is significant in the Diocese since the foundation of the institute of MSMMC was laid by the late Bishop Ceaser Asili the founding Bishop of Lira Diocese.
Bishop Wanok in his homily further illustrated that a special identity of Jesus is elaborated by the mission that is being accomplished by the Religious men and women among the people whom they serve.
Rt. Rev. Wanok noted that it is important for the candidates to observe the Charism of the institute of the Missionary Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church to enable them create impact in the lives of people through their mission.
He shared that dedicating oneself in the mission of God comes with blessings and peace which emanate from Jesus Christ that is defined in the Charism of the Sisters of the institute.
Making his reflection on the World day of Peace, the Bishop asked that the message of peace be disseminated to gather the scattered people all together.
The prelate concluded his homily by urging the congregation to be champion of peace and of love among the people to create way for the mission of Christ to penetrate their lives.
On the occasion of the Perpetual Profession, members of the congregation during their remarks thanked God for the gift of the vocation to religious life in the church.
