In a message addressed to the Chairman of Uganda Episcopal Conference (UEC) Bishop Joseph Anthony Zziwa of Kyinda Mityana Diocese, Bishop Kasonde who is the Local Ordinary of Solwezi Diocese, Zambia appreciated the work of the late Bishop and expressed the sad loss experienced by the entire region.

“AMECEA region has lost a great shepherd who has been at the service of the Church for 35 years. He continued referencing the Gospel of Mathew the Apostle, “For us in AMECEA region, Bishop Luluga was a fervent disciple of God and a brother with whom we have journeyed together at regional level, sharing the joys and sorrows of our mission of making the Lord’s disciples in all the nations (Math. 28:19).”

The late Bishop Emeritus Luluga died on Saturday, July 30, at age 89. He was ordained priest of Arua Catholic Diocese, Uganda in 1963 and served as a Prelate for 35 years.
