President of the Tanzania Episcopal Conference, Most Rev. Gervas Nyaisonga is optimistic that the 20th AMECEA Plenary Assembly will proceed smoothly for he believes that God’s graces will accompany the deliberations throughout the assembly.
Archbishop Nyaisonga said this while giving a vote of thanks during a holy mass held at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
“We have just completed the celebration of the Sacred Holy Mass that marks the inauguration of 20th AMECEA Plenary Assembly here in Tanzania. The graces we have received from the Holy Mass will assist us in making good resolutions during this plenary,” Archbishop Nyaisonga said.
Archbishop Nyaisonga also thanked all those that participated in the Holy Mass. He particularly gave a special gratitude to the main celebrant, his Eminence Cardinal John Njue and the preacher of the day His Eminence Cardinal Antonio Tagle.
“This was the wonderful Holy Mass; the main celebrant has celebrated this mass quite solemnly; thank you very much your Eminence Cardinal John Njue. To you Cardinal Tagle, you have satisfied our thirst and expectations for your homily delivered in a very live style; thank you your Eminence. Active participation of all cardinals, archbishops, bishops, priests, religious and the faithful was quite lively, thank you and congratulations,” His Grace said.
