Peter Masereka
The body of Seminarian Paul Masereka, a 30-year-old Member of the Congregation of Jinja Mill Hill, has been laid to rest at his ancestral Home in Kyambogho cell, Mpondwe Lhubiriha town council in Kasese district with a call on believers to be humble and use their talents for God’s will.
In his homily while presiding over a requiem Mass, the Vocational Director in Diocese of Kasese, Fr. Joseph Tumusiime urged the mourners to emulate the deceased who left his earthly profession after attaining a diploma in Kiswahili at Kabale University and respond to God’s call so that he may serve in the house of the lord.
Fr. Tumusiime who is also parish priest of Nyakahya, described the deceased as a humble, lovely seminarian, down to earth and God-fearing person.
He then urged the congregation to be thankful to God and ensure their families are built on two pillars including spiritual and academics.
According to the Rector Jinja Mill Hill Seminary Fr. Charles Okata, the deceased would have been a priest in three years’ time.
He said that the late Paul came home only to do visa processes in order to go to India for his theological studies, before meeting his death.
Seminarian Paul Masereka was born on 24th October, 1992. He did his primary and secondary education at Nyakahya Primary school and Bwera Secondary School and later went Kabale University after which he he joined Mill Hill congregation in 2016.
