Bishop Charles Kasonde of Solwezi Catholic Diocese has reminded Religious men and women to look up to the Lord whenever they are faced with challenges in life.
This he said as he delivered his homily during the Mass to mark the feast of the Consecrated Life held at St. Daniel’s Cathedral, and occasion where the Religious men and women renewed their vows of poverty, Obedience and Chastity.
According to the Solwezi Diocese’s Radio Kabangabanga reporter Terence Katiki, Bishop Kasonde insisted that the temple becomes the foundation and fountain of the love that God has for humanity, adding that whenever faced with challenges or troubles, Christians should look up to the Lord.
“The Temple becomes the foundation and fountain of the love that God has for humanity and the source of our strength whenever we are strike by atrocities or challenging times. Look up to the Lord … Yes, we have our home, we have our places of work, but we should always desire to be in the house of God where we see the presence of the Lord,” he continued and added, “The light of the Tabernacle signifies the light of Christ who comes in our lives. This day we celebrate today is also called a feast of the Light,” said Bishop Kasonde.
