SOUTH SUDAN: Catholic Church Welcomes New Changes in South Sudan Council of Churches

The Catholic Archbishop of Juba Most Rev. Stephen Ameyu Martin Mulla has welcomed the new leadership of South Sudan of Council of Churches.

He, during the installation of Bishop James Par Tap Hon as new Chairperson of the Council, applauded the retired leader Bishop Arkangelo Wani Lemi for good leadership, Radio Bakhita reported.

Archbishop Ameyu said the Churches in the country needs good governance like what Bishop Lemi has demonstrated.

Meanwhile, Bishop Wani Lemi said he stepped down from his position as the chair of South Sudan Council of Churches after resigning from being African Inland Church leader in South Sudan.

Bishop Arkangelo Wani Lemi was the head of the South Sudan Council of Churches for two years now.
