ZAMBIA: ZCCB Donates Equipment to Hospitals in Chipata Diocese

The Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB) has donated maternity equipment to 3 medical facilities in the Diocese of Chipata.
The donated equipment includes 5 Delivery Beds, 4 Foetal Dopler, 3 Emergency Trolleys and 3 Foot operated Suction machines.
ZCCB National Health Coordinator, Sister Matildah Mubanga who made the presentation at the Catholic Secretariat said medical equipment was secured with support from Medicines for Humanity at the cost of $ 2,591.65.
Sr. Mubanga further told Catholic Media Services that the 3 medical facilities were identified as benefactors due to the low maternal and child health coverage in the area.
Meanwhile, Minga Hospital Administrator Sr. Esperanza Massawe thanked ZCCB and pledged that the equipment will help in the good health delivery.
Sr. Massawe said that the equipment will help make the work in maternity wards easier.
