ETHIOPIA: Apostolic Nuncio to Ethiopia Arrives In Addis Ababa
The Catholic Bishops of Ethiopia have on December 18 warmly received His Grace Antoine Camilleri who is the incoming Apostolic Nuncio to Ethiopia as he arrived in Addis Ababa.
His Excellency Most Rev. Camilleri expressed his deepest gratitude for the warm welcome saying the smile on those present for the welcoming shows the love and respect the Catholic community has for the Holy Father.
“I am happy to come to Ethiopia. As I come here to work with you representing Pope Francis, I bring you greetings from the Holy Father. I assure you that the doors of the Apostolic Nunciature will be always open to discuss on issues concerning our Church so that together we can look for solutions and ways forward,” said the Apostolic Nuncio.
The Ethiopian Catholic Church’s Bishops and all the Religious congregations through the President of Conference of Major Religious Superiors (CMRS) in the Country Rev. Br. Kassu Fantaye and all the clergy similarly assured Archbishop Camilleri of their collaboration and support on his new assignment.
His Excellency Archbishop Antoine Camilleri will serve as the Apostolic Nuncio to Ethiopia and Djibouti, special representative to the African Union and Apostolic Delegate to Somalia.
