SOUTH SUDAN: Sudan and South Sudan Catholic Bishops Annual Plenary Underway in Juba

Sudan and South Sudan Catholic Bishops Conference’s Annual Plenary is undergoing at the Good Shepherd Peace Centre in Kit, Rejaf Parish in the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba under the theme “Bind us together”.
The SCBC President Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala told CRN that the plenary started on October 23 and all bishops will join the centenary celebrations of Juba Archdiocese.
He describes the plenary of 2019 as a blessing because of the presence of the two new bishops of Torit and Malakal dioceses.
Bishop Hiiboro says during the plenary, they will pass the constitution and the pastoral plan of the Conference.
He also disclosed that the bishops will plan the celebration of the national Eucharistic Congress and enlighten the faithful about it.
He says the Catholic Church in the Sudan and South Sudan are working hard to realize lasting peace in the two countries.
The SCBC President Bishop Hiiboro spoke to CRN on Thursday at Good Shepherd Peace Centre in Kit.
