UGANDA: Rector Urges Seminarians to Work On Their Human Growth
The Rector of St. Mary’s National Major Seminary in Kampala Uganda Rev. Fr. Dr. Lazarus Luyinda has urged seminarians to cultivate the virtue of human maturity during the period of formation in the Seminary.
He made appeal on 3rd October 2019 while addressing the students during his Thursday weekly audience at the Seminary saying human growth and maturity are fundamental pillars in the formation to priesthood.
The Rector added that human maturity makes a candidate to priesthood to live a concrete and a balanced life, capable of counteracting the burdens in the pastoral ministry. He advised them to develop the personality that is shaped by the Gospel and other virtues in a bid to act as a bridge that brings others to Christ.
Fr. Luyinda also stressed the need for students to nurture the human aptitudes which uphold togetherness with people of all categories.
Besides human maturity, he reiterated the need for seminarians to exhibit the clarity of their vocation to priesthood.
