ZAMBIA: Priests Association in Zambia Toasts Golden Jubilee
The Association of Zambia Diocesan Catholic Clergy (AZADCC) is set to celebrate its Golden Jubilee Saturday, 31st August, 2019 in Solwezi Diocese with Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB) president who is also bishop of Chipata Diocese Rt. Rev. George Lungu gracing the occasion.

In celebrating the jubilee, the General Secretary of Zambia Association of Zambian Diocesan Catholic Clergy (AZADCC) Fr. Kennedy Mubanga has called upon all Catholics in the country to support the Association and the efforts of local Priests. Fr. Mubanga says the lay faithful should appreciate the local priests as they are God’s servants among their own people, speaking their own language and they understand where they come from.
Meanwhile, Rt. Rev. Charles Kasonde who is also Chairman of the Association of Member Episcopal Conferences of Eastern Africa (AMECEA) called on Christians to be truthful in whatever they are doing, not living a life of pretence.
He said this on Tuesday, 27th August 2019, during the opening mass of Association of Zambian Diocesan Catholic Clergy National Conference at St Daniels Cathedral in Solwezi.
The AZADCC National Conference has attracted priests from all the dioceses across the country.
The Golden Jubilee celebrations are being held under the theme Thanking God for 50 years of being Missionaries to ourselves through our Priestly Service to the Church.
