SOUTH SUDAN: Torit Bishop applauds Radio Emmanuel Staff For Hard Work and Resilience

On the occasion marking 10th anniversary of Radio Emmanuel, the Catholic Bishop of Torit Bishop Stephen Ameyu Martin Mulla has applauded the staff of the radio for their hard work and resilience amidst several challenges.

Bishop Mulla told the journalists to follow their ethics to communicate messages of truth through the radio.

He acknowledged Radio Emmanuel and the Catholic Radio Network (CRN) stations for helping the Church reach the majority in the country, saying that radios are the Church’s means of giving pastoral services to people.

Radio Emmanuel was established on June 19th 2009 as the communication wing of the Catholic Diocese of Torit.

Addressing the congregation during thanksgiving prayers at St Peter and Paul Cathedral, the Vicar General Fr. John Sebit has appreciated Radio Emmanuel administration for their excellent and educative Christians programs.

“The Radio Emmanuel that we are celebrating today has a lot of evangelization and educative content. For the past nine years, this radio has cover topics such as justice and peace, girl child education and so forth,” he added.

The Vicar General further urged Radio Emanuel staff to adhere to profession code of conducts while delivering information to people at grassroots.
