KENYA: CUEA Lecturer Wins Ecumenism Punishment Theology Global Championship

Rev. Dr. Noelina Nakato, a Religious nun from the Congregation of Daughters of Mary (Banabikira) and Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Canon Law, Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), has won the World Championship 2019 in Theology (Ecumenism Punishment).

The Ecumenism Punishment Theology Day is an annual event during which scholars and researchers organize various activities with an aim to promote awareness on ecumenism and punishment. With this award, Rev. Dr. Nakato’s research work is recognized as a break through in the field, while she is recognized as Father of Modern Ecumenism Punishment Studies in Theology.

The award organized by International Agency for Standards and Ratings aims at identify brilliant scientists and academicians around the world through their research works. The selection of champions is usually based on international meritorious competition.

Dr. Nakato Noelina will from now henceforth plays a vital role in advancement of scientific knowledge in this particular field as the World Championship-2019 in Theology (Ecumenism Punishment) has acknowledged her academic contribution as internationally outstanding.

The international Agency For Standards and Ratings (ASR), while recognizing the contributions of Sr. Nakato in the field of Theology, extends their best wishes for her endeavours in enlightening the scientific domain with her efforts. The ASR recognizes her among World’s 500 Most Influential Experts in Theology for the Year 2019.

Sr. Nakato, a native of Uganda from the Diocese of Masaka holds Doctoral Degree in Canon Law from John Paul II University of Lublin, Poland as well as PhD in Theology with specialization in Canon Law from CUEA. She joined CUEA in 2005 as a Tutorial Fellow in the Institute of Canon Law and has since rose in the rank to become a senior lecturer in the same institute.

She studied for her Baccalaureate in Philosophy, Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology as well as Licentiate in Theology, with Specialization in Canon Law from CUEA.
