“We have given you the best that we had. Twenty-five years ago Kisumu gave us a bishop in the personality of Bishop Emeritus Linus Okok Okwach; we have now given Kisumu an archbishop,” says Rev. Fr. Dalmas Odhiambo, chairman of the Homa Bay Diocese Priests’ Council in his homily during the Eucharistic Celebration at the Cathedral. “We are now left orphans and our hope is that the process of appointing for us a new shepherd will not take long.”

Archbishop Designate Anyolo who is also Chairman of Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) is set to officially become the Archbishop of Kisumu on Saturday, January 12, when he will be installed.

He is a Member of AMECEA Executive Board and Chairman of AMECEA Social Communications Department.
