The Holy Father Pope Francis has transferred the Apostolic Nuncio to Kenya and South Sudan His Excellency, Most Rev. Charles D. Balvo to Czeck Republic.

The news of the appointment was officially made in Rome on 21st, September, 2018 at noon (1.00pm in Kenya).

In an interview with Waumini News in his office at Waumini House, Nairobi, The Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) – General Secretary Very Rev. Fr. Daniel Rono acknowledged receipt of the news from the Nuncio.

Fr. Rono said the Church in Kenya accepts the decision of the Holy Father and appreciates Archbishop Balvo for the services he rendered in Kenya and South Sudan during his tenure.

As he wished the Nuncio the best in his next assignment, Fr. Rono promised prayers to the Nuncio for God to grant him strength, knowledge, wisdom and good health for continuous service in the Lord’s vineyard.

Archbishop Balvo was appointed to Kenya on 17th, January, 2013.
