KENYA: “Knowing Brain Science is Vital for Effective Leadership”- Religious reminded
Religious men and women from different congregations in the country were reminded about the importance of Brain Science knowledge for effective leadership.
This was expressed during a workshop that was organized by the Leaders’ Guild: Center for Leadership Management – Tangaza University College (Nairobi) with the Theme, ‘Leadership and the Brain,’ which took place at the University Collage on Tuesday 28 June.
The workshop which was funded by Hilton Foundation aimed at imparting leadership skills and development knowledge to leaders, particularly Religious nuns.
Rev. Sr. Patricia Bombard, member of the Charity Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary Dubuque, Iowa, USA, who was the facilitator of the workshop, quoting Richard and Jan Potter’s Spiritual Development for Beginners said, “To become the person who you wish to be, you will need to become the doer at the center of all your actions…, so that your actions come from your inner being and not from impulse or habit.”
Sr. Patricia, who serves as the director of Vincent on Leadership; The Hay project of De Paul University, Chicago, emphasized the fact that Leadership Development is Self-Development as she explained the steps of Spiritual Leadership Model.
