The Catholic
diocese of Mongu in Zambia has mobilized funds to help the people of South
Sudan as a response to AMECEA’s call to various Episcopal Conferences, to
mobilise financial resources for the people of South Sudan.

the information posted in the Vatican Radio website the funds raised have
already been remitted to the Zambia Episcopal Conference through Caritas Zambia
for onward transmission to AMECEA and later to the Church of South Sudan.

The Bishop
of Mongu Diocese in Zambia, Evans Chinyama Chinyemba said that although his
diocese is geographically distant from South Sudan, still they are feeling to
be close to the people of South Sudan despite of the political boundaries.

raised came from the generosity of parishes, religious organizations,
