Ethiopia, a member in the Congregation for the Oriental Churches.

Information released on Monday 13/04/2015 by Vatican Information Service stated that together with Cardinal Berhaneyesus, the Archbishop of Ancona-Osimo, Italy Most Rev Edoardo Menichelli, was also appointed a member of the same congregation.
Cardinal Berhaneyesus was also appointed a member in the Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant Peoples.
