TANZANIA: Cardinal Fernando Filoni Congratulates the New Bishop of Shinyanga

The Prefect of
the Congregation of Evangelization of Peoples, H.E. Fernando Cardinal Filoni,
sent his congratulation message to the newly ordained Bishop Rt Rev Liberatus Sangu
who was an employee of the Congregation before his appointment as Bishop of
Shinyanga. 

 

Presenting his
message on his behalf on 12 April 2015 (the
consecration day) in Shinyanga, the Adjunct Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples
and President of the Pontifical Mission Societies, Most Rev Protace Rugambwa said
that the congregation is grateful to God for the gift of Bishop Sangu who
worked for the congregation for about eight years. 

 

Archbishop
Rugambwa asked the family of God in Shinyanga Diocese to give him maximum
cooperation to carry out his mission as a Bishop.

 

“The goal is to
ensure that the work of God in the Diocese of Shinyanga and Tanzania move with greater
efficiency,” he said adding that “The whole staff of the Congregation for the
Evangelization of Peoples wish him well and God’s blessings in his new mission.”

 

The celebration
was also attended by the President of Tanzania, His Excellency Jakaya Kikwete.
