AMECEA: Justice and Peace Department Gets a New Coordinator

Justice and Peace Department has finally received a New Coordinator Mr. Antony
Mbandi, Kenyan born who reported to the office on 2nd March, 2015.

The
department fell vacant following the departure of Fr. Jude Waweru who had
successfully steered the department for the last 10 years. Fr. Jude returned to
his diocese after having finished his contract with AMECEA in September 2014.
Mr. Mbandi was
working with the Catholic Diocese of Kitui as the Caritas Director, including multi-sectoral
programming and Justice and Peace activities from October 2009 to October 2014.
He later became an independent Consultant in Monitoring and Evaluation,
Institutional Management and best practice.
Speaking to AMECEA Online News, the New Coordinator
said that his vision for the department is openness to diversity of ideas that
would trickle down from the Regional office to National conferences and then to
the dioceses and parishes and vice versa.
