The two
Cardinals were accompanied by Very Rev Fr. Ferdinand Lugonzo AMECEA Secretary
General and Rev Fr. Chrisantus Ndaga AMECEA Deputy Secretary General and Social
Communications Coordinator in their visit which was from 14th – 20th
March 2014.

Speaking to AMECEA Online News upon their return Fr.
Lugonzo said that the purpose of the visit was to strengthen partnership between
AMECEA and Missio Aachen and Missio München and also to discuss specific partnership
with regards to AMECEA Strategic Plan.

has always been receiving from both Missio Aachen and Missio München,” said Fr.

While in
Munchen, the delegation also visited H.E. Reinhard Cardinal Marx, Archbishop of
München; the Mayor of Munich and also the Benedictine Monastery in Bavaria on
the Feast of Saint Joseph. “We also had time of sharing our experiences with
the representatives from the Dioceses within Bavaria,” he said.

in the region, such as insecurity, internal conflicts and displacement of
people. “The question of migration which affects Eritrea where young people are
fleeing the country to Europe was also discussed at length,” he said.
