Buleya, has been appointed Vice Chancellor of the Catholic University of Malawi
(CUNIMA).

announcement was officially made on 31 January 2015, during the Thanks Giving
Mass celebrations for the successful conference of 18th Plenary Assembly
for Association of Members Episcopal Conferences of East Africa (AMECEA) held in
Malawi, July last year.

Fr. Buleya’s
appointment was made during the first Annual Plenary Meeting of Episcopal
Conference of Malawi convened from 26th to 30th January
2015. He is taking over from Professor

Meanwhile, Rev Fr. Emmanuel Chimombo who
was the deputy Secretary General of the Bishops’ Conference and Coordinator of
Pastoral Department was appointed ECM Acting Secretary General.
