SOUTH SUDAN: Bishop of Wau Attends Rumbek Diocese Youth Congress

At the airport in Rumbek on Wednesday 10th December 2014, hundreds of
Catholics, including the  Commissioner of Rumbek Central County, Mawet Manuer crowded the
airport to welcome him.

Bishop
Deng Majak appealed to Lakes State citizens to prepare for Christmas and
stop killing, hatred, division and violence.

He
appealed to youths to pray to the Prince of peace, listen to his message and
denounce the “senseless conflict” that is killing them.

 

The Catholic Diocese of Rumbek is vacant since the demise of Rt Rev Bishop Cesare Mazzolari Mazolari in July 2011.

Meanwhile, Yei
Catholic Bishop while presiding over the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception
of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Tore Parish on Monday, asked all people to pray
for the betterment of Local, State and national governments.

Bishop
Erkulano Lodu Tombe called on Christians not be afraid after falling into sins,
but bow before God for forgiveness to be save.

He called on
all citizens to live Christian life through confession and continuous prayer
for the development of families and the nation.

The Catholic
prelate gave a Sacrament of Matrimony to three families and confirmed 67
candidates, appealing to them to prepare to receive Christ.
