AMECEA: Secretariat Organizes a Planning Retreat for its Staff

AMECEA
Secretariat has organized a Planning Retreat for its staff members that took place in
Nyeri Town, Central Kenya from 17th – 20th November, 2014.

According to Fr.
Ferdinand Lugonzo, AMECEA Secretary General, the meeting was an important
opportunity for staff to come together and plan for secretariat activities for
the year 2014-2015.
The staff
planning retreat is usually held in June at the end of AMECEA Secretariat
financial year. However, this year it was delayed because of the preparations
and the actual events of the 18th AMECEA Plenary Assembly, which was
held July in Malawi.
Most of the activities planned were based on the resolutions of the 18th AMECEA Plenary Assembly. It
is on these resolutions that form the basis of AMECEA Secretariat activities for the next four years
which are usually carried out in collaboration with the national conferences
within the region.
Apart from
meeting and planning for the activities of the year ahead, the secretariat
staff also took the opportunity to evaluate the performance of the secretariat activities for the previous year.
