According to him, Radio Shahidi is for peace and capacity building
for the multicultural people of Isiolo and its environs. These include Turkanas,
Boranas, Samburus, Rendiles, Merians and many others pastoral communities, torn
out by inter-ethnic and tribal clashes with cattle rustling.

He said that the radio project started with the late Bishop Luigi
Locati who died in 2005; however, the dream met its realization last year
through the desire of the present Bishop Anthony Ireri Mukobo IMC.
