AMECEA: The Executive Board of AMECEA Gets Ready for a Meeting

The AMECEA
Executive Board will be holding its ordinary meeting from 25th to 26th
September, 2014 at AMECEA Secretariat Offices in Nairobi; Kenya. This is the
first meeting for the members since they were elected in July 2014, during the
18th AMECEA Plenary Assembly held in Lilongwe, Malawi.
According to
Secretary General Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Lugonzo, the main agenda for this meeting
will be the induction of the new Executive Board Members and constituting
Committees. The Executive Board members will also be able to deliberate on the
resolutions made during the Plenary Assembly and how they can be implemented.
The AMECEA
Executive Board Members is made up of the following members: Most Rev.
BERHANEYESUS, D. Souraphiel, Chairman (Ethiopia); Rt. Rev. Kidane YEBIO
(Eritrea); Abune Tesfaselassie MEDHIN (Ethiopia); Rt. Rev. Philip ANYOLO
(Kenya); Most Rev. Thomas MSUSA (Malawi); Rt. Rev. Michael DIDI (Sudan/South
Sudan); Rt. Rev. Rogatus KIMARYO (Tanzania); Rt. Rev. Anthony ZZIWA (Uganda);
Rt. Rev. Charles KASONDE (Zambia); Very Rev. Fr. Ferdinand LUGONZO, Secretary
General (Kenya).
Cardinals from AMECEA countries are called Honorary
Patrons of AMECEA; and  by the virtue of their positions they also attend the meetings of the
Executive Board. These include H.E. Emmanuel Cardinal WAMALA (Uganda); H.E. Polycarp
Cardinal PENGO (Tanzania); H.E. Gabriel Cardinal Zubeir WAKO (Sudan) and H.E. John
Cardinal NJUE (Kenya).
