MALAWI: Government Advises Catholic Women to Utilize AMECEA Networks

Malawian Catholic women have been advised to utilize the
establishment of the Association of Member Episcopal Conferences in Eastern
Africa (AMECEA) in order to advance their social and economic agenda.
Dr. Mary Shawa, the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Gender, Children, Disabilities and
Social Welfare in the Malawi government described AMECEA as a source of hope
for women wishing to establish themselves as successful entrepreneurs and
family members.

economic welfare,’’ she added.
