Addressing the Catholic Journalists at St. Mary’s Spiritual Centre,
Msimbazi-Dar-es-salaam on Monday June 30th, 2014 during the opening ceremony
of the training on online reporting and journalism skills, Bishop Mfumbusa said
that the agents of evangelization must be conversant with new media technologies
to avoid being left behind by the people whom they serve.

Mfumbusa, who is also the bishop of Kondoa Diocese, advocated for promotion of
digital literacy during priestly formation suggesting that ICT should be
incorporated in the seminary training.
