have so far claimed more than 60 lives in two different attacks on the nights
of 15th June 2014 and 16th June 2014.

He also called for justice to be done to the

What had Happened
At least 48 people have died following an attack
by gun men on the evening of Sunday in Mpeketoni, a Kenyan coastal town of Lamu
in the Diocese of Malindi.

The attackers, alleged to be terrorists,
attacked hotels and a police station and houses. An eye witness said that gun battles lasted for several hours,
while several cars and buildings, including hotels, houses and police station
were set on fire. The killers came back on another day (Tuesday night) and
carried the attack whereby over 15 people were killed on the same area to make
the number rise to over 60.

This is the most deadly attack in Kenya since
last September, when at least 67 people were killed during a siege by al-Shabab
fighters at Nairobi’s Westgate shopping centre.
