the Msimbazi, Dar es Salaam as the preparation for the national Conference/Congress for children scheduled from 11th to 16th June, 2014 in the Diocese of Tunduru Masasi.

their children to be part of the PMS groups.

The Auxiliary Bishop said that the fate of the Church and of the nation is the hands of the Parents who
should provide a roadmap for their children to enable them have a good
future, which consequently ensures a better nation for tomorrow’s generation.
He said that parenting does not only mean bringing up children into this world, but also
giving them a good foundation for their future lives. “The parents must know that holistic upbringing
of children, based on Christian values that uphold human dignity is very
important,” he said.
“God
did not ordain people to bear children only, but also to bring them in the right direction in accordance to God’s call; the
responsibility of bearing children and giving them a good upbringing is another way of
glorifying God,” he said.

However, Bishop Mdoe is very disappointed by the action of some of the parents who
abuse their children. “I cannot understand that some parents can be so cruel and mistreat their children so badly in a
way that is contrary to humanity, society and the teachings of the Church,” he said adding that “These should be stopped immediately at all cost.”

Has stated
that violence perpetrated by some of the parents against their
own children who are under their care should be condemned and
rebuked by the society and that through prayers the evil act can be replaced by love.
