AMECEA: Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers Visit CUEA
The Maryknoll
Fathers and Brothers paid a courtesy call to the Catholic University of Eastern
Africa’s (CUEA) Vice Chancellor, Monsignor Dr. Pius Rutechura on 21st February
2014 at his office at Main Campus,
Lang’ata, Nairobi, Kenya.

The visitors
included Bishop Phillip Francis Straling, Bishop Emeritus of Reno, Nevada, US.
During the visit, the Vice Chancellor gave a brief history of the University,
and the various services and programmes on offer at the University.
The guests
from Maryknoll toured the University’s Lang’ata campus. Of interest was a tour
of the Pope Paul VI learning Resource Centre. There, they visited the Maryknoll
discussion room in the library which was named after the Maryknoll Fathers and
Brothers Congregation, in honour of their financial contribution towards the
development of the Learning Resource Centre.
