KENYA: Fr. Daniel Kimutai Rono Appointed KCCB Deputy Secretary General
The Permanent Council of the Kenya Conference
of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) has appointed Rev. Fr. Daniel Kimutai Rono, a priest of the
Diocese of Nakuru, as the Deputy Secretary General.

According to the Principal Administrator of
the KCCB – General Secretariat, Rt. Rev. Philip Anyolo, his appoinment takes
effect immediately.

Fr. Rono, who will be based at the Kenya
Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) – General Secretariat Offices at Waumini
House, Westlands, will deputise the General Secretary Rev. Fr. Vincent Wambugu
in the day to day running of the Secretariat.

Fr. Rono currently works in the Diocese of
Nakuru as the Episcopal Vicar for East Pokot and for the Religious and
Chaplain, St. Augustine’s University Chaplaincy. He is also a part time
Lecturer at Laikipia Campus of Egerton University. He holds a doctorate Degree
in systematic Theology.
