The Secretary General and Staff at AMECEA Secretariat in
Nairobi regrets to announce the death of the mother to Fr. Jude Waweru, Coordinator
of AMECEA Justice and Peace Desk who passed away on Wednesday 12th
February after a short illness.

AMECEA Chairman His Grace Tarcisius Ziyaye, Archbishop of
Lilongwe, Malawi on his own behalf and on behalf of all the AMECEA Bishops has
sent heartfelt condolences to the family of Fr. Jude Waweru and assures the
family of the Bishops’ prayers during this sad moment.
Fr. Jude’s Mother, the late Mama Christine Wamaitha will be
laid to rest at her home in Kiambu County Kenya on Friday 21st
February 2014. The funeral Mass will be presided over by Rt. Rev. David Kamau, Auxiliary
Bishop of the Archdiocese of Nairobi.
May Her Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
