Missio Aachen Mr. Hans-Peter Hecking paid a visit to AMECEA Secretariat on
26/10/2014 while commending the Secretariat’s initiative to create a ten- year Strategic
Pastoral Plan.

Pastoral Coordinators from AMECEA Countries at AMECEA Secretariat in Nairobi Mr.
Hecking said that Pastoral strategic plans must be made in a realistic way so that
it sets the direction for the Church.

“With limited
resources Missio has at the moment it is important that we know in advance
which direction you want to take, your preferences and your priorities and also
the budgeting so that we can plan and be in a position to give you the support
you want,” he said adding that “The strategic planning will offer a platform
for the cooperation between Missio and AMECEA”.

Mr. Hecking who
is visiting Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) said that his visit to
AMECEA is not only an expression of solidarity between AMECEA and Missio but as
a friend of AMECEA as well who came with an intention to know and learn what is
happening there.

who has worked with Missio for over 30 years said that he is now in charge of
Foreign Department handling the whole of AMECEA Region, a task which was
delegated to him from 1st on November 2013. “I am looking forward to
more corporation and collaboration not only at AMECEA level but also at
individual conference level,” he said adding that “I will be glad also to
receive invitations during national Conference plenary.”
