AMECEA: Boston College Don Visits AMECEA Secretariat to strengthen Collaborations

Dr. Margaret Lombe an
Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Social Work from Boston College
in the United States of America is currently visiting AMECEA Secretariat and
Catholic University of Eastern Africa CUEA in an effort to strengthen
relationship between AMECEA and Boston College.

According to AMECEA
Secretary General Fr. Ferdinand Lugonzo, “Dr. Lombe is here for a follow up
discussion in regards to strengthening collaboration between AMECEA Secretariat
and Boston College in specific areas of capacity building and
research, exchange and outreach programs.”

Since her arrival in
the country earlier this week, Dr. Lombe has been holding meetings with Departmental
Heads at AMECEA Secretariat as well as CUEA staff members.

In July 2012, AMECEA
and CUEA delegation comprising of Fr Ferdinand Lugonzo, AMECEA Secretary General,
Msgr. Pius Rutechura, The Vice Chancellor of CUEA and Fr Chrisantus Ndaga,
AMECEA Executive Secretary for Social Communications visited USA to strengthen
relationship between AMECEA and USCCB. 

During their visit, AMECEA delegation met with Dr. Lombe in Washington DC and had a chance to discuss about possible collaborations between AMECEA and Boston College.
