KENYA: Give the New government a chance to deliver

Rt. Rev. Bishop Philip Sulumeti of Kakamega Diocece

Rt. Rev. Philip
Sulumeti, Bishop of Kakamega Diocese has called on all Kenyans including
government officials and the opposition leaders to support the government in
its mandate to serve Kenyans.
“Pray, respect and
judge patiently,” he said as he dismissed claims that the government has not
delivered the promises made to Kenyans within the 100 days. “Give the new
government a chance to work, 100 days are not realistic to judge,” said Bishop
Sulumeti.
He insisted that it is
the duty of every Kenyan to participate in building the Kenya we want and it is
not a time to point fingers or to start blame game.
The Bishop was speaking
during a thanksgiving Mass to mark 50 years of priestly ordination of His
Grace, John Njenga, Archbishop Emeritus of Mombasa held at Likuyani Parish in
Kakamega Diocese.
The occasion was graced
by among others priests, religious men and women government officials, the Catholic
Faithful among other people of good will.
